About this program
The Associate Degree in Nursing at Hondros College of Nursing is designed to be completed in about 15 months and prepares graduates for RN licensure. It is offered only at the college's Ohio campuses — Westerville, Akron, Fairborn, Independence, Maumee and West Chester — and is not approved in Indiana or Michigan. Two disclosures matter for prospective students. First, the program holds institutional ABHES accreditation but no ACEN or CCNE programmatic nursing accreditation, which can affect credit transferability. Second, the Ohio Board of Nursing has held the program on provisional approval since March 2017, listing it among programs with five or more consecutive years of NCLEX-RN pass rates below 95% of the national average. Under Ohio Administrative Code 4723-5-23, a provisional program must meet or exceed that benchmark for two consecutive years before full approval can be restored.
