About MyNursingSchools
What We Do
MyNursingSchools is a free comparison tool for nursing students. We aggregate program data — tuition, duration, delivery format, and NCLEX pass rates — so you can compare accredited nursing programs side by side instead of visiting dozens of school websites.
We are an affiliate marketplace. Schools pay us when you request information through our site. That is how we keep this resource free. We believe being upfront about this makes us more trustworthy, not less.
How We Select Schools
Every school in our directory must meet these criteria:
- Accreditation — Regional or national accreditation verified through the U.S. Department of Education database.
- Active nursing programs — The school must offer at least one nursing degree or certificate program.
- Publicly available data — We rely on IPEDS, state nursing board reports, and published school catalogs for tuition and outcome data.
Our directory is still growing. We do not yet cover every nursing program in the country. If your school is not listed, that does not mean anything is wrong with it — it may simply mean we have not added it yet.
How We Make Money
We earn revenue in three ways:
- Cost per lead (CPL) — A school pays us a fixed fee when you request information through our site.
- Cost per action (CPA) — A school pays us when you complete an application or enroll.
- Sponsored placements — Schools can pay for prominent positioning on listing pages. These are always labeled “Sponsored.”
You never pay anything extra. These fees come from the schools, not from you. For full details, read our affiliate disclosure.
What “Sponsored” Means
When you see a “Sponsored” label, it means that school pays for prominent placement. Every sponsored school still meets our accreditation requirements — we do not list unaccredited programs regardless of compensation. But you should know that placement order on those pages is influenced by commercial relationships, not by an editorial ranking.
Where Our Data Comes From
- Tuition and program details — IPEDS (Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System), school catalogs, and direct institutional outreach.
- NCLEX pass rates — State boards of nursing. We never use self-reported school data.
- Salary data — U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) Occupational Employment and Wage Statistics.
- Accreditation status — U.S. Department of Education Database of Accredited Postsecondary Institutions.
