• Minimum GPA / ACT requirements for ADN (Registered Nurse track):
• A college GPA of 2.6 or above is required. CSCC GPA is used unless another institution’s GPA is substituted (with transcript on file); if no college GPA exists, a high school GPA of 2.6 or ACT composite score of 18 or above (within last 4 years) is accepted.
• Mandatory Nursing Information Session:
• Applicants must complete an online Nursing Program Information Session before applying.
• NURC 1001 / CNA requirement:
• Applicants must have completed NURC 1001 with a grade of C or better within the last five years, or hold N‑credit (PLA) for a CNA card issued within the last five years (PLA must appear on transcript). As of January 15, 2024, patient care work experience without state testing is no longer accepted for N-credit.
• HESI A2 Exam requirement:
• Must complete the HESI Admission Assessment (A2) with a score of at least 75%. The score must be from a test taken at CSCC within the last 4 years; other schools’ scores are not accepted.
• Math placement requirement:
• Must be placed into STAT 1350 (Elementary Statistics) or have completed equivalent coursework that makes the student eligible for it.
