Format

Schedule and format at Harrisburg Area Community College

• Students are admitted into cohorts, meaning nursing courses follow a group-based start and progression structure.
• Four‑semester (full‑time/day) option (offered on Gettysburg, Harrisburg, Lancaster campuses):
• Courses are delivered in 7‑week “mini‑mesters.”
• Classroom theory: 2–4 hours per session, 2–3 days weekly.
• Clinical or lab: 6–7 hours, 2 days weekly; may run early morning (as early as 6:30 am) or evening (up to 10 pm).
