Admissions at Atlantic Cape Community College

• Atlantic Cape does not publish an acceptance or admission rate (%) specifically for its nursing programs. Acceptance is competitive, with selection based on ranking of composite scores (prerequisite GPA + ATI TEAS score), but no formal acceptance rate percentage is provided.
• Prerequisite GPA requirement: Applicants must complete prerequisite courses (BIOL 220, ENGL 101, PSYC 101, SOCL 101) with a minimum GPA of 3.0, and maintain an overall GPA of at least 2.5 to be eligible.
• Grade requirement for science courses: All science prerequisites must be completed with a grade of “C” or better; and must have been taken within the last 10 years or be repeated.
• ATI TEAS exam requirement: The ATI TEAS is required. As of June 3, 2025, applicants must have a minimum scaled score of 63.0 (previously 58.7) for their application to be considered. The exam must be completed within three years before applying.
• Competitive selection / waitlist notes: Admission is competitive. Meeting the minimum criteria does not guarantee acceptance. Applicants are ranked by a composite of prerequisite GPA and TEAS score, and only top-ranked students are admitted based on available clinical seats.

Format

Schedule and format at Atlantic Cape Community College

• The Nursing Associate in Applied Science (A.A.S.) is delivered with a distinct split between theoretical (general education and nursing courses) and clinical components. Clinical practice occurs in acute, long‑term, or community health care settings under faculty supervision.
• There is an On‑Site Online Nursing Program in collaboration with Ocean County College and Burlington County College. In this format:
